You can edit the automation process to tailor how an order is activated depending on your needs and the settings you select in order to improve your reseller hosting service.
An option to consider is either activating an order automatically after receiving first payment or configuring it so you can manually review the order and active yourself.
Follow the steps below to configure the activation process of a particular product.

Step 1: Login to your WHMCS Account

Step 2: Navigate to Setup

2.1 Navigate to Setup> Products/Services> Products/Service
2.2 Here you are able to view a list of products that have been created. If you are yet to create products, then start by creating a new product. Here is a detailed guide of how to do so.
2.3 Click on the Product you wish to edit which will open up the settings page. Then click the Module Settings tab. Within this section you are able to configure how the order will be provisioned and activated once a customer places an order.
2.4 Under the Module Name drop-down menu select the type of server being used.

The options you see depend on the module chosen, more info specific to each module can be found within the Provisioning Modules section.

Some products may have no specific module linked. In this case you can set it to “Auto release” which means orders will be activated and a welcome email sent automatically when the first payment has been received.

For product activation you have 4 Automation settings to choose from:

To setup the service instantly select – Automatically setup the product as soon as an order is placed.
If you’d like to setup the service after the first payment is made select- “Automatically setup the product as soon as the first payment is received.”
To make it so an admin has to manually accept an order select – “Automatically setup the product when you manually accept a pending order.”
Setup your account so that admins have to manually initiate the setup of a new order from the client’s profile. Select – “Do no automatically setup this product.”
